Baltimore’s Best Thrift Stores

My Baltimore thrift guide is a highly requested post so I’m happy to finally take the time to share the best spots to hit up! Whether you’re in town visiting, or live near by, I’m giving you all my favorite spots and I’m keeping no secrets!

Note: I do not consider vintage shops or buy-sell-trade shops as thrift shops, these are all the real deal people! I will be doing a vintage shop specific post for Baltimore/MD/DC soon along with a guide of things to do in Baltimore!

Here are my quick tips for thrifting before we get started:

  • Give yourself plenty of time to dig
  • Check everywhere (including other sizes!)
  • Try everything on before you buy

North East Baltimore (grouped together)

These 4 are my go to spots to hit and I go to one of these at least once a week! Savers is by far my favorite spot, with Salvation Army being a close second! There are two Goodwills, one is super close to Savers and the other is 5 minutes from the Salvation Army.

Savers (discount days on Thursdays)

1925 E. Joppa Road, Parkville, MD 21234

Goodwill (this one is close to Savers)

1753 E. Joppa Road, Parkville, MD 21234

Salvation Army (closed on Sundays, discount day Wednesday)

10912 York Rd 500 C, Cockeysville, MD 21030

Goodwill (this one is close to Salvation Army)

200 W Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093

In Baltimore

I honestly don’t know of a ton of good shops that are actually in Baltimore City other than one! Please feel free to comment and tell me some that I missed so I can add them to this list!

Wise Penny (closed on Mondays)

5902 York Rd, Baltimore MD 21212

Below Baltimore (Jessup, Colombia, Laurel)

These are a bit of a drive from Baltimore (40 mins without traffic) so I only get to hit these up about once a month or so. This is a day off event for me, but honestly, I have found the best stuff at these places and they are close enough to hit up one by one. I have listed them in the route I usually take to make it easier!

2nd Avenue Value Store

6515 Dobbin Rd, Colombia, MD 21045

Salvation Army (closed on Sundays, discount day Wednesday)

10350 Savage Guilford Rd, Savage MD 20763

2nd Avenue Value Store

201 Fort Meade Rd. Laurel, MD 20707

Red, White & Blue Thrift Store

123 Bowie RD, Lurel, MD 20707

*This particular thrift store has some nicer name brands (new and used) but is priced like a thrift store. Imagine if TJ Maxx and Goodwill had a baby, that’s what this place is like.

Laurel Thrift Store Center

9880 Washington Blvd. N, Laurel, MD 20723

Phew! That’s it for the Baltimore area! My next area that I will be covering is the DC area. I will be going around the beltway and sharing my favorite spots and let me tell you there are some amazing spots around DC!
