25 Sustainable Swimsuit Brands

I’ve had quite a few people ask me where to get a cute sustainable swim suit asked so I decided to finally do a post about it! I’ve included a mix of smaller brands + size inclusive brands + mens suits + higher end (for that super fancy vacay). This post is PACKED with a ton of brands to choose from!

Minimalist Tip: I purchased a neutral pair of bottoms and mix and match different tops. This works great for vacation if you want multiple suit options but to also not pack a ton of stuff!

Hackwith Design House

Designed and made in Minnesota, this label is a personal favorite! They started by selling and making amazing closet basics and beached out a swimsuit line that does not dissapoint. They offer an inclusive size range as well!

Indigo Luna

Simple suits and a few that have a 60s vibe with some mighty cute florals. They also sell yoga wear + intimates.

Minnow Bathers

Simple designs with a few featured lines that are collaborations with artists. So basically you get to wear a beautiful piece of art to the beach or lake.

Mylo Beachwear

Looking for something a little different? Mylo offers crochet suits that have a 70s festival vibe that I am all about. I actually have a black crochet top that I’ll mix with a plain black bottom!

Nettle’s Tale

Made in Canada, I actually got to visit this shop when I was in Vancouver and I’m kicking myself for not buying a suit! Their Britney top in particular can be worn 6 different ways! Love when pieces are designed like this. They offer a size range from XS-2XL.

Peony

This particular suit down below is one I’m personally debating getting. This brand wins when it comes to little details like ruffles and ties. They have a vintage vibe but not in an over the top way.

Reformation

One of my favorites since they have very simple designs, not a fan of the loud prints and extra fringe and what not. They also use ECONYL® a Regenerated Nylon for most of their suits.

Stay Wild Swim

Loving the different color block suits they have, a very simple minimalist style suit.

Underprotection

Looking for a sustainable made Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini? This place has you covered!

Vitamin A

They offer a wide range of colors and styles that are hight waisted, tied ect. A perfect brand for simple classics that never go out of style!

Anemone Swim

A little on the pricier side but I love the little embroidered flowers, clearly I want a floral bathing suit…

Araks

ALERT! They have great high waist bottoms! My love for high waisted things doesn’t stop with pants. Bathing suits must also be high waisted.

Okay now here’s like a million more awesome brand to choose from!

Something for the guys in your life

Outerknown (mens)

I find men get ignored in the sustainable fashion movement so here’s a brand that makes a simple and good looking pair of swimming trunks (why are they called trucks?!).

Brands that are not ethically produced but have some form of sustainable practice (like using recycled materials)

I like to offer all ends of the price spectrum so here are a few brands that are working towards doing a little better with their sustainability. Don’t @ me, I know they are not made ethically but I like to give you options!

  • Outdoor Voices offers men’s and women’s suits
  • MadewellUses recycled water bottles for the fabric + offers sizes XXS-3X
  • SummersaltFlat $95 for every suit they make, plus they have a decent size range 2-22 and they are all made of recycled materials!
